We are proud to announce that Symetrium is launching a new project for the modernization of I&C systems at the Por\u0105bka-\u017bar pumped-storage power station \u2013 one of the most strategic and unique power facilities in Poland. <\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The project is being executed on behalf of PGE Energia Odnawialna<\/strong> by a consortium of GE Vernova<\/strong> and Mostostal Warszawa S.A.<\/strong> This marks yet another joint deployment between Symetrium and Mostostal Warszawa, building on our long-standing and fruitful cooperation on infrastructure and power projects. The investment is scheduled for completion in 2028. <\/p>\n

The Por\u0105bka-\u017bar Power Plant is a unique technological facility on the map of Poland – the first and only underground power station<\/strong> in Poland (with full technical infrastructure housed inside an underground cavern), located in a chamber 300 m below the summit of Mount \u017bar. The installed capacity of the plant is 500 MW, making it the largest energy storage facility<\/strong> in Poland.
It features an impressive ramp-up time to full capacity \u2013 taking just 180 seconds<\/strong>. It is a pumped-storage facility capable of operating in both generation and energy storage modes, providing operational flexibility depending on current grid demands. Due to its capabilities, it constitutes a critical element for stabilizing the National Power System (KSE), supporting its reliability and security. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
