PROJECT:
Establishment of the Symetrium Research and Development Center
SYMETRIUM Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością has been awarded a European Union grant for the project entitled “Establishment of the Symetrium Research and Development Center.”
The project involves creating and launching an R&D infrastructure. Within this R&D project, the Applicant intends to develop a nationwide innovative Automatic Load Restoration (ALR) solution based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems. This solution will significantly improve the operational efficiency of such systems and enable continuous performance enhancements by training a neural network on data acquired by measurement systems during the enterprise’s daily operations.
Due to the frequently random nature of power supply disturbances, there is currently no analytical method to model the predicted voltage waveform based on occurring variances in value, frequency, and voltage curve shape. The application of AI systems will allow for early, predictive diagnosis of potential grid disturbances and the most efficient transfer of critical business (or institutional) loads to backup power. The advantage of this solution lies in the continuous enhancement of prediction efficacy and accuracy, driven by a growing database over time that will be used for the deep learning of the neural network.
PLANNED TASKS
Tasks planned within the project include:
- Purchase of construction materials and works – construction of the R&D center.
- Purchase of equipment: chairs, workbenches, folding and conference tables, shelving units, and furniture
- Purchase of equipment: lockable cabinets, workshop and recessed cabinets, and wardrobes for kitchenettes.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The project consists of creating and launching an R&D infrastructure (facility, research apparatus, and remaining infrastructure necessary to conduct R&D activities). Through the implementation of this project, the Applicant plans to:
- Establish the R&D infrastructure (building, required hardware resources, and equipment) of the Research and Development Center within the project period.
- Develop an innovative ALR system (product innovation – 1 unit) based on artificial intelligence systems as part of the R&D agenda, detailed further in the attached research agenda.
TARGET GROUPS
The solution developed under this project will be dedicated both to enterprises (especially those for whom maintaining high-quality power supply continuity is critical to their operational processes, such as electroplating plants) and to public utility facilities such as hospitals, refineries, banks, fire stations, police headquarters, military installations, and communication hubs.
